You already know how to draw levels. Candlestick patterns - you know too. But individually it is weak. Today we look at how they work together - and why it changes everything.
Why is a candle without a level noise?
The hammer can appear anywhere on the chart. In the middle of traffic, in a random place, without any meaning. If you enter every hammer, you will trade chaotically.
But if the hammer appeared right at the support level, this is no longer an accident. This is what the market is literally showing you: This is where buyers reacted. Sellers tried to push the price lower - and failed. The candle closed higher.
- Level tells where to expect a reversal
- The Candle indicates that the reversal is already beginning
Strong combinations
🔑 The most powerful combinations:
🟢 Hammer / pin bar on support
Long shadow down - the price tried to fall, but it was bought back. The body closed above the level. Long signal.
🔴 Shooting star / resistance pin bar
Long shadow up - the price tried to break through the level, but was sold. The body closed lower. Short signal.
🟢 Bullish engulfing on support
A large green candle blocked the previous red one right at the level. Buyers have seized control - a signal to go long.
🔴 Bearish engulfing at resistance
The large red candle overlapped the previous green one right at the level. The sellers took over - a signal to go short.
⚪️ Doji on level
The opening and closing are almost the same - the market is stuck in indecision right at the level. Not a signal in itself, but the next candle will show the direction.
Need confirmation
⚠️ A pin bar has appeared at the level - do not enter immediately.Wait for the next candle to close. If it closes in the right direction, then there is an entrance.
Why? Because the pattern is formed in real time and can change before closing. The candle closed - the pattern was fixed. Up to this point, it just “feels like a signal.”
Three signal strength levels
- Level only → weak, unclear when to enter
- Only a candle without a level → weak, may be an accident
- Candle level + confirmation → strong signal ✅
False breakout
🕯 False breakout is a different story
The price broke through the level with a shadow, closed back - and a pin bar formed there. This is called a false breakout. One of the strongest signals in trading. Large players deliberately knock out stops behind the level - and then reverse the price. If you see this at the level, look carefully.
Practice
Complete before moving to the next lesson:
Summary
- Candle without level - noise
- Level without a candle – it’s unclear when to enter
- Candle at level + confirmation – strong signal
- A false breakout at a level is one of the best setups
